History

Double Lucky Ranch is the culmination of a dream.  While it was formally established in 2008, it was planned long before it opened.  The owners, Amy and Greg “Coach” Neal, both grew up in the country – Coach in Oklahoma and Amy in Wisconsin.  Not long after they got together in Chicago eight years ago, they both realized that their future was not among the towering buildings.  They missed the open sky and thus started a search for their escape back to the country.

Many ask about the origin of the name “Double Lucky Ranch.”  While enjoying many successes in the city, Coach was always looking at ranches across North America.  One day while feeling especially fortunate, the name came to him.  He felt that they were so lucky to have each other and all that they had accomplished, and believed that when they finally got the ranch they’d been dreaming of, they’d be Double Lucky.
